Introduction¶
The Domain and User Manager is responsible for the management of the sharing part of the server and the configuration of clients of a specific domain.
This part of the software consists of three components:
The (mobile) clients
The Storgrid web user interface
The Storgrid EFS Server
The Mobile Clients¶
With the (mobile) clients you can connect to the Storgrid EFS Server and sync data locally to your machine. You can securely upload your own data and share your data with other Storgrid users or even external users (using their email address).
You download the client directly from the Storgrid web user interface. You can download the Apple iOS and Android directly from app store or google play store.
The Storgrid web user interface¶
With the web UI you can do the same things as with the mobile clients, only the data is not synced locally. Additionally you will be able to administer the domain.
Some examples which you can do from within the interface:
Create, modify and delete users
Create usage reports
Change the notification templates
Change policies
The Storgrid EFS Server¶
The Server is used for the actual file synchronisation and enforcing of the policies/permissions of the domain.

Account settings¶
Here you can change your password and view the content you’ve shared or content somebody has shared with you. It’s also possible to reconnect to this content. For example if you deleted it by accident.
Storgrid settings¶
In this section you can change some general settings which you prefer.
You can enable or disable the following general settings:
When I share files and folders, send a copy of the email to my email address
When somebody adds or changes files in shared folder I want to receive a notification by email
Receive notification when external user opens share
The language of the web client
You also can personalise your account with some changes:
Show address bar in the files and folder view
Show upload progress panel by default
Show access level in details view
Set default display type for the files and folder view listings (icons or detailed)
